Description
The liquid viscous damper is a quantitative vibration-control product that not only requires but also allows for precise calculation—far more than just a qualitative buffer. Our company can achieve an α value as low as 0.015, whereas domestic manufacturers typically manage around 0.3. For designers, the damping force represents the maximum load that must be carefully considered when designing anchoring systems and adjacent structural elements. Clearly, thanks to its exceptionally small α value, this damper dissipates the greatest amount of seismic energy during an earthquake! At the same time, the design forces acting on neighboring structural components are merely a fraction of those required by competing dampers. As a result, the streamlined structure significantly reduces both labor and material costs, while effectively preventing damage to the damper, anchoring system, and bridge structure caused by overload conditions.
