The Izmit Bay Bridge in Turkey is a three-span suspension bridge with a main span of 1,550 meters, and it is also the second-largest suspension bridge in the world (surpassed only by China's Xihoumen Bridge over the sea).
Recently, Germany's Mauser has completed the installation of its DS2800 large-displacement expansion device. This expansion device surpasses China's No. 1-ranked Sutong Yangtze River Bridge DS2600 unit, becoming the world's largest expansion device in terms of displacement capacity. The device is designed to withstand earthquakes of magnitude 8 or higher, offering more than 4 meters of lateral movement flexibility during seismic events.
