The Chongqing Fuma Yangtze River Bridge, also known as the Wanzhou Yangtze River Fourth Bridge, is the longest-spanning bridge in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. With a total length of 2,030 meters and a main span of 1,050 meters, it is a single-span steel box-girder suspension bridge.
Our company has successfully signed a contract with the client for the procurement and installation of expansion joints for the main bridge of Chongqing Fuma Yangtze River Bridge. This project marks our firm's first major bridge project with a main span exceeding 1,000 meters. The expansion joints feature an impressive 1,360mm of movement capacity, and the structural design utilizes Maurer's third-generation product—a three-dimensional, variable-displacement, vibration-damping, modular-type expansion device. This innovative structural solution truly represents the future direction of the expansion joint industry!
Meanwhile, the Chongqing Fuma Yangtze River Bridge also marks MAURER's 80th independently designed and constructed cable-stayed bridge in China, further demonstrating the company's remarkable achievements in China's bridge-building industry.
