Recently, our company has won the bid and signed the contract for the procurement and installation project of expansion joints on the main bridge of the Hutong Yangtze River Bridge. We are honored to provide the Maurer DS1840-type 3D displacement-reducing and vibration-isolating modular expansion devices for this project.

The Hutong Yangtze River Bridge, with a total length of 11,072 meters, is the key project controlling the entire newly constructed Hutong Railway line. It boasts the world’s largest span among road-rail dual-use cable-stayed bridges and is also the world’s first road-rail bridge to exceed 1 kilometer in span. Construction officially began on March 1, 2014, with a planned duration of five and a half years. Once completed, the journey from Nantong city center to downtown Shanghai will take just about one hour.
